Loving this little motion piece created by motion designer Bante for music event Bellavista Social Pub. He has really captured the style of Bluenote designer Reid Miles’ unique typographic style. Sweet!

Just stumbled accross the delights of an obscure old artist called Moondog. He was a blind American composer, musician, poet, and inventor of several musical instruments. Moondog removed himself from society through his decision to make his home on the streets of New York for approximately twenty of the thirty years he spent in the city. He could be found on the streets of New York wearing clothes he had created based on his own interpretation of the Norse god Thor. Because of his unconventional outfits, he was known for much of his life as “The Viking of 6th Avenue”

Had a play around with some deformers in Cinema 4D, add a little bit of audio and bob’s your uncle.

Came across this lovely short documentary about hand painted signs in New York. Really nicely shot and some great characters in there. It was always going to be a massive advert for Stella Artois, but never mind, good all the same.

The production line over at Mammal has been busy of late, and to tie in with a new batch of critters, toys and sock monkeys they arranged a photo shoot for some of the more lively characters. Check them out.

I came across these old ‘first day of issue’ stamps at a car boot sale recently and thought ‘oi oi, what do we have here?’, needless to say i had to buy a few. Topics covered in the designs range from Architecture, British Inventions, Travel, Transport to name a few, and are classic peices of British Graphic Design, nice.
